Hello there I took a look at the 'Marriage page', as a fan of the Spice and Wolf series myself I liked it quite a lot ! Well the reasons i am writing this, is first I made a minor edit at the page ,Lawrence other than at the very ending of the series(Light Novel) hasnt aged, as a year hasnt passed and second if you want to learn how their relationship has progressed in the volumes after the ending of the anime and the translated volumes to complete it more I would like to help as much as possible ^^ .
Thanks so much for your corrections. They appear to be sound and well thought out. (Gag I even sound like a teacher) I have been away so long because of work in the school where I teach. But this is my last year. I in fact am going to teach a class in Japanese literature which will include some Manga / Anime and you can bet Spice and Wolf are going to be on top of my list.
Hello, I would like to ask you what is the difference between the manga and a novel. I am trying to get books about Spice And Wolf (I love this anime :) from amazon, but no one tells me what the difference is. I would also like to ask if you know anything about the third season? So far I was unable to find any information at all :/. Can you help me please?
which will bring up an index to a whole series of issues (although I confess that I want to economically support Isuna Hasekura so i am still hoping to buy them). Also there are a series of light novels which also tell the narrative of Spice and Wolf, but I have not read them yet. As for a third season, I have not heard of any possibility (I just finished re-watching season two with my wife). Certainly there is plenty of material to make one possible, but I have heard of no plans to do so. I will rejoice if I hear otherwise.
As to the differences between the narratives I have not seen a lot expcet that there is more detail in the mangas. Sorry it took me so long to respond but as a prof at a small college the end of the semester grades absorbed my attention.
Hi Adem: I have not been on site for a long while. Very busy in my last year as a professor at this institution. Thus I have not had a chance to even do some fun reading. I hope to enjoy the Spice and Wolf novels soon.
I uploaded the pic of Holo doing a shadow puppet on the wall beside her of a wolf.. With it I also gave the site I found it on, but I am not sure about the legality of it. It's a wallpaper site and there are no warnings about private property. I actually found the image in several places but here is one: http://hdwallpapers.lt/spice_and_wolf-hd-wallpapers/
There are many others there too not found on within this Wiki. Should we gather them?
Dak Would you be interested in a write up about marriage? It seems to play an interesting role in the Anime narrative. I would need to track down the specific episoids and character names. However as you know people in one villiage judge Lawrence and Holo as unfit for business for not being married. There one character who tries to steal Holo away with a marriage proposal, and Lawrence's friend, the town merchant, is notable for his happy marriage. And when Holo is desperate to avoid loneliness and offers herself in order to make children she runs into Lawrence's sense that without marriage this is an impossible option. Meanwhile, Holo has come to terms with the vast difference of their responses to time and has told him she will nurse him when he is old. As I mentioned in the last blip, I have not read the light novels, but I have heard that Holo and Lawrence pick up a small boy as a traveling companion turning them into an almost family.
First message: Amazon most certainly does sell them. I personally bought mine from Indigo. Just a word of caution, be absolutely sure what books you are buying. Some websites don't make a clear distinction between the manga and the light novel.
Second Message: Sure! you bring up some good points, I haven't finished the light novel series myself but I have seen some images from Ju Ayakura showing holo with a younger female in wolf form. I think I have is somewhere....
It is worth noting that Ju did the illustrations for the Light novels. I am unaware if that actually happens in the story however.
